Natural Materials
We take pride in using 100% natural fabrics – such as Portuguese cotton, Australian wool and the finest French linen – which support small family farmers and sustainable producers.
Products made from natural materials feel better, inspire care, and can be responsibly disposed of at the end of their life. Most importantly, they are recyclable or biodegradable, unlike polyester-type micro-fibres which end up in our oceans.
We weave, dye, print and sew using talented craftspeople at each stage, allowing us to control the entire transformation process.
Respectful Relationships
Our suppliers are our partners, and often our friends. Many of them have been with L&M Home since the beginning, allowing us to build a trusted network of craftspeople, factories, and small family workshops.
We hand-select our suppliers based on their specialist skill and craft and are determined to ensure that great care and attention has been taken to better the livelihoods of the workers involved. We foster longstanding relationships – working together to continuously become more responsible.
To ensure everyone involved in making an L&M Home item is paid fairly and treated with respect, we work with production partners who have leading social responsibility certifications.
Certifications
Certifications are an important piece of L&M Home’s responsibility practice.
For popular materials, we source according to the most rigorous certifications – like the Global Organic Textile Standards for organic cotton.
We work with OEKO-TEX certified providers for weaving, dyeing and printing. Oeko-tex is an independent testing and certification label that guarantees environmentally friendly and socially acceptable manufacturing. This means that our collections are free from products that are harmful to the body and the environment.
Animal welfare is highly important to us and plays a huge factor in choosing the partners to make our products. 100% of our feather and down products are Responsible Down Standard certified. This means that our natural fills are a responsibly sourced by-product of the food industry.

Carbon Offsets
We’ve teamed up with CarbonClick, a New Zealand company making it easy for people and businesses to help fight climate change. CarbonClick looks like a green button at checkout.
